Glad you're feeling better, hon.

That's the first I've heard of any "controversy" and...I don't see it either? Maybe the Watchmen movie has so much male nudity that anyone who comes out of the theater sees dicks everywhere?

I'm kinda frustrated with the attempted buzz killings in the Watchmen fandom too. Not that the movie's beyond criticism (of course most of us still haven't SEEN it yet) but I have no patience for the "You're not a TRUE FAN if..." attitude. (As totally awesome and welcoming as some fans are, I think Watchmen is the only fandom I've seen where fans get mad at other fans if they have any fun at all. Weird.)

Also, Jesus, do you know how often Hollywood fucks up all-text classics? Like maybe how the most famous version of Wuthering Heights cut out half the book? Come on, now.

Haha yes, I've seen the Demi Moore version of The Scarlet Letter, very little in abridged film adaptations can shake me. I was thinking about book-to-film adaptations the other day while watching East of Eden. It skipped right to the second half of the book and it still stood on its own legs as a very good film. (I also started making Cal Trask/Walter Kovacs comparisons in my head, which is just nutty. Ah, English majors.)
