Today's Lesson:

How not to make a sentimental song (Put in with a parody video to dull the pain. For extra humor, read some of the indignant comments from the song's fans.

How to do it. Oh God. Lots of people say they lose it at "I'll miss you, Dad" but the line that gets me is, "And though not quite in your voice, I'll say ..."

Part of me wonders why I have such a strong reaction though. I've listened to this song three times or so and I've cried EVERY TIME. And Kermit, although of much higher quality, is just as fictional as the Internet-spawned Dickens ripoff. Maybe it's the "Who else could make them believe?" line in action.

And here's something to cheer you up. Or at the very least, impress you. Mom wanted to know how to Lindy and we just stumbled across that. Who says old movies are boring?
