What I think of the Nymphet thing
Why the Movies make me Sad
Attempts at cooking ...
I also thought about making a post about how my apartment complex wanted to tow my car and my valiant attempts to defend it (along with my whimpering about it, too) ... but my heart's been beating heavily and erratically since that incident and I don't want to think about it anymore.

Basically what happened was I woke up to go to work on Monday and saw a sticker on it saying the plates were expired and they were going to tow the car THAT DAY. So I drove over to the place and asked what the specific issue was, and what those stickers were for, because I had seen people in New Jersey had stickers that said stuff like 2005. (And it turned out later that the New Jersey Motor Vehicles Commission wasn't using those anymore.) I showed her my registration, said the car was under my Dad's name ("See, our last names are the same!") and I couldn't register it here and was essentially borrowing it long-term. She sounded like she was listening, but was still like, "You look like you have an out-of-state, expired car!" And I'm like, "But it's legal in New Jersey, I'm not even sure WHAT you think is expired." But then she was like, "Well, maybe I'll get my boss to call you ..."
After I freaked out on the way to work, I checked later, found something on the NJMVC's Web site that said, "Yeah, we don't use those stickers anymore. Go take them off." (Mom also called up the rental office and gave them a oh-come-on-we'll-buy-a-Delaware-registered-car-soon-cut-her-some-slack speech.) So I took them off, printed the lady a copy. She also has a photocopy of my registration. So far they haven't taken my car...
I chalk it up to the new management being a bit pants, myself. An elderly couple, one of which is disabled lives below me. I see the same car parked in their handicapped spot all the time (so I assume it's theirs) and THAT got a sticker because they didn't have visible identification. It's lame.
