I ... I ... just ... guh ...

Of all the politicians, he was one of the ones I would least suspect for this kind of thing, but UGH!!! SCUMBAG!

Poor Elizabeth ... that woman confronted Ann Coulter for him. She deserved better than that. :(

it's rare when the Enquirer breaks a story, then makes the MSM eat crow for ignoring it since they were right all along.

this has been around since before the primaries; apparently Hillary held off on leaking it out of respect for elizabeth and the press coverage, which is p. classy

and the SPT had it on the 25th of July:

i lost faith in Edwards back in 04 when this happened:
http://www.time.com/time/nation/art...26498-2,00.html

"Kerry talked with several potential picks, including Gephardt and Edwards. He was comfortable after his conversations with Gephardt, but even queasier about Edwards after they met. Edwards had told Kerry he was going to share a story with him that he'd never told anyone else—that after his son Wade had been killed, he climbed onto the slab at the funeral home, laid there and hugged his body, and promised that he'd do all he could to make life better for people, to live up to Wade's ideals of service. Kerry was stunned, not moved, because, as he told me later, Edwards had recounted the same exact story to him, almost in the exact same words, a year or two before—and with the same preface, that he'd never shared the memory with anyone else. Kerry said he found it chilling, and he decided he couldn't pick Edwards unless he met with him again."

Creepy.

There's a similar story about another senator up for VP this year, but since I may have to cover this guy in the future, I'm not saying who.

hurr here's the first link

http://www.tampabay.com/news/politics/national/article736867.ece

"Maybe it's because the story was broken by the National Enquirer. Even so, the Enquirer seems to have the story nailed down pretty well. The tabloid first reported last October that Edwards had a relationship with a divorced woman named Rielle Hunter, and that she was pregnant. Edwards denied the report and another man came forward to say he was the father of the unborn child."

I think the Enquirer is kind of like the the Boy who Cried Wolf by this point. ("These two people were seen in the vicinity of each other ... THEY'RE DATING!")

Well, Sen. Clinton does have personal experience with this thing. If she did leak it, it would have had a high potential to backfire on her.
