The WoC "In My Parents' Country" Short Story Books
The Laws of Evening by Mary Yukari Waters
Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri
The Homosexual Male Addiction Extravaganza
Dry by Augusten Burroughs
Choke by Chuck Palahniuk
Naked Lunch by William S. Burroughs
When You are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris
I didn't necessarily have a theme going, either. But yeah, I should do two entries in the future covering those books.
Naked Lunch really fucked with my brain, so much so that I actually thought of taking a break from reading, but that notion only lasted about four hours, so now I'm reading The Pickwick Papers by Charles Dickens, which I am henceforth going to refer to by its expository title*, A Bunch of Middle Aged White Guys Eat, Drink and Bomb Around the English Countryside by Charles Dickens. It's already a lot of fun and I have much thoughts on ABoMAWGEDaBAtEC, but I'm going to wait on that, too.
*It Really Sucks that I Have no Arms, Legs or Face by Dalton Trumbo is my favorite, followed closely by Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett [rimshot!]
