50 Book Challenge: So far read 22 Books-Without-Pictures, 25 Books-With-Pictures, and completed 4 partially-read books

Okay, it's cheating a bit ... but I'm going to read more by the end of the year.

Also, there was only one HUGE book read this year. (Kushiel's Dart at 901 pages. By the way, unless you count Lord of the Rings as one book, the biggest book I've ever read so far in my life is Gone With the Wind at 1024 pages.)

[goes off to read Kitchen Confidential on her balcony to celebrate]

How are you guys doing?

I'm already almost half-way through. Even though I have no clue what half of the foods he's talking about are, I like it.

(I may have also asked my dad and his boyfriend to take me to his restaurant for my birthday, too. :-))

Is the 50 book challenge over one year's time? I sorted my LT books to find out how many I've read this year and I'm way over 50. I feel it would be a challenge to read 50 books in a month, but not over, say, a three-month period. ::Shrug:: Granted, I have more time than most.

It's over one year. For some people (like me) it is a challenge. If I couldn't count comic books, I'd never make it. I know others can do about 100 in a year. And Harold Bloom can read like, 10 500-pagers in one sitting, but he's some sort of evil alien.
