Why I still like Kevin Smith, "The Evil That Men Do" aside

sarajayechan brought the story of the girl who committed suicide based on the vindictive parents of her ex-friend to my (and others) attention here. I was reading Kevin Smith's blog today, though, and thought he had an interesting take on it.

Yeah, that's the one part of the post I really didn't like. (I even thought of the insane sports dads after I posted it, too). I did think his story of the note was pretty inspiring, however.

I read something on CNN the other day about how the community has taken an approach not used much these days and are basically shunning the family.

Good for them, I think.
