I am on Internet in my new apartment! Wooo!!!! Oh, precious cable ...

I celebrated the occasion by changing my userinfo. I was going through a bit of a self-introspective hermitage phase when I wrote it. But now that's over. It's been a rough year. A good chunk of it my doing; a good chunk of it not. My perspective on things have changed a bit; I hope for the better. I haven't learned much this year ... except perhaps I'll never understand people ... or businesses ... or much of anything. But what is the end of youth but realizing that you don't know shit?

I was very sad. And I'm still very, very tired. (Actually, my boss suggested today that I should take a vacation; she said I've been low-energy lately. I haven't been feeling physically well, but she may be right.) But a few things have happened, and the sky overall looks brighter. That doesn't mean I'll never be sad. I have too many health issues to worry about for that. (Go away, evil TSV!!! And what the fuck is wrong with my back?) But I'm much happier than I once was, and plan to get even better.

By the way: Aja, thank you VERY MUCH for that card. I got it yesterday and it was incredibly sweet. :-) Oh, and the gift certificate was cool, too.

I have a few things to say about different things I'm watching and thinking ... but I think for a change I'll give it a rest. And bask in the joy that is Internet. ^_^

'course, you realized in your sparse Net-usage that the best quality time is spent elsewhere, right...? ........right? ;D

I semi-kid. Welcome back~

That, and the moment when a first-grader explains something to you that should have been painfully obvious. :Þ

Yeah, but I was getting a little bored of "book, tv, book, book, comic book, tv, video game"

Also, you've been keeping me on the Internet the longest tonight because I can't stop laughing at that Yahtzee guy. (Much funnier than that Nintendo guy, IMHO. He was tedious.)

And a ten-year-old taught me how to play Sudoku awhile ago, so I know how to listen to the little ones ... :-)

(Haa, I like the Angry Video Game Nerd; he has replay value- that is to say I can enjoy the same video over and over in the background while working on something else. ;3 And ya gotta give him credit for dressing up as the entire Addams Family just to pan the games attributed to them...)

My issue with him is that he still strikes me as a relatively young kid who knows profanity can make him shocking and witty, but doesn't quite know why. When he's going into the specifics of why a game sucks, I'm laughing. When he lashes out with the "dumb shit donkey cock fuckhead gamers shitbags" I'm kind of like, "Bored now." I also felt that way when he did the Freddy Krueger parody skit. It just went on SO LONG and wasn't that great.

I did really like his episodes on religious games you linked. But when I tried to watch the others, the magic wasn't happening. :-/

(As an aside, I really like Yatzhee but he probably doesn't like a gamer like me. I'm more casual than not ... although I don't have "Brain Age" so I may still have hope.)
